the adaptation of forrest gump underwent a series of changes over a period of two decades, with kulkarni spending the first ten years adapting the script, and another ten years purchasing the remake rights.aamir khan bought the rights of the film in early 2018 with the help of los angeles-based producer and director radhika chaudhari and announced the film officially on 14 march 2019, with its title. the film's score is by tanuj tiku, while its original songs are composed by pritam and their lyrics are written by amitabh bhattacharya.

laal singh chaddha has been filmed in more than 100 indian locations. principal photography began in october 2019 and concluded in september 2021, after multiple delays due to the covid-19 pandemic. the film was initially scheduled for cinema release during multiple dates in 2020–2022, but kept getting delayed due to the production halt caused by the pandemic, and was theatrically released worldwide on 11 august 2022, coinciding with raksha bandhan and independence day. it opened to mixed reviews from critics. against its ₹180 crore budget, the film generated a worldwide revenue of less than ₹90 crore in its first week and was thus declared a box office bomb.

Atrangi Re (transl. A person of eight colors) is a 2021 Indian Hindi-language romantic fantasy drama film directed by Aanand L. Rai and written by Himanshu Sharma. The film's idea was conceived by Rai in 2014, after the release of Raanjhanaa. He developed the screenplay with Sharma, exploring the subject of complexities of human emotions, especially love and was certain to cast Dhanush given the relativity of subject, script and time but the rest of the casting was eventual. As the project was officially announced in late-January 2020, the filming process began in March 2020 and completed within March 2021, despite losing out six months of filming in between owed to the COVID-19 pandemic in India. The film was shot across Varanasi, parts of Bihar, Delhi, Agra, Mumbai, and few scenes in Madurai, Karaikudi. The score and soundtrack album were composed by A. R. Rahman, with lyrics written by Irshad Kamil. The cinematography and editing were performed by Pankaj Kumar and Hemal Kothari, respectively.

After being rescheduled multiple times from its release dates, as a result of the nationwide lockdown due to the pandemic, the makers premiered the film through Disney+ Hotstar on 24 December 2021, thereby bypassing theatrical release. It was also dubbed and released in Tamil under the title Galatta Kalyaanam.The film received mixed to positive reviews from critics, praising the unconventional plot, performances of the lead actors, direction, soundtrack and score, but criticised the incoherent screenplay and execution of overall storyline.

Samrat Prithviraj is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language historical action drama film directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi and produced by Yash Raj Films. The film is based on Prithviraj Raso, a Braj language epic poem about the life of Prithviraj Chauhan, a Rajput king from the Chahamana dynasty.[6] It features Akshay Kumar as Prithviraj Chauhan, while Manushi Chhillar makes her Hindi film debut playing the role of Sanyogita. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Manav Vij, Ashutosh Rana and Sakshi Tanwar in other pivotal roles.

An official motion poster of the film was released by Yash Raj Films on 9 September 2019, revealing its release in cinemas on Diwali 2020.Principal photography began in Jaipur on 15 November 2019, but was suspended in March 2020 owing to COVID-19 pandemic in India, due to which the film was indefinitely postponed. The film's shoot resumed in October 2020 at YRF Studios. Originally titled Prithviraj, the film was renamed as Samrat Prithviraj following a court litigation a week ahead of its scheduled release.The film was released on 3 June 2022.

The film received mixed responses from critics. It was made on a reported budget between ₹150 crore (US$19 million) – ₹300 crore (US$38 million), and amassed a worldwide gross collection of ₹90.32 crore (US$11 million) . The earnings from the early days did not meet the expectations. This, followed by cancellations of the shows due to zero occupancy, led to a major box office disaster.
